Associated Country Women of the World

The ACWW strives to improve the life and health of women and communities around the world, through partnerships that offer each other mutual support and tangible help. With over 460 member societies in over 70 countries, the ACWW works to give women from all walks of life an international voice with its connections with UN agencies. The ACWW also contributes funding to small-scale community projects, created by women around the globe.
This organization values transparency, understanding, the sharing of knowledge, and the empowerment of women to take on larger leadership roles in their communities.

ACWW's membership and networks of rural and non-rural women will empower women and communities worldwide through: partnership, advocacy, sharing of knowledge and activities.

Area of Focus

The members of ACWW, who live in rural and urban areas and who represent many races, nationalities and creeds, believe that peace and progress can best be advanced by friendship and understanding through communication and working together to improve the quality of life for all people through: 

- relief of poverty
- relief of sickness and the protection and preservation of health
- advancement of education
